Role name: Microfocus Enterprise Administration : Rocket Architect US
Work site: Remote
Start date: Immediate availability.
Job Description (JD) for Microfocus Enterprise Administration.
Primary skill:
# Microfocus Enterprise Server Administration with Azure / GCP platform and on-premise Server.
- Create different Enterprise developer/Enterprise Server regions (SANDBOX/DEV/QA/Pre-Prod/PROD) on WINDOWS or LINUX Servers
- Installation and maintenance of ED/ES
- Listeners / Webservice / SSL setup and maintenance
- Perform Maintenance like Spool Maintenance, Log file maintenance, any diagnostics/trace/core dump file analysis and maintenance
- Trace / follow-up till closure of created microfocus tickets
# CICS administration
- Setup and maintenance of CICS resources in all env
# IMS administration
- Setup and maintenance of IMS resources in all env
- IMS Message queue maintenance in all env
- Backup / Recover / Reorg IMS database
# MQ administration
- Configure the MQ queue manager, including input, output, and optional initiation queues. Backup / Restart and Recovery
# ESM (security) setup in Microfocus ES
- Setup and Maintenance of Microfocus security
# General setup and support with Microfocus ES
- Capable of installing different API and configure webservices and interface with other applications, FTP and other means.
- Experience in setting up the database connection and other utilities related to microfocus utility and compiler directive settings.
- Collaborate with apps team and other support team to maximize environment availability
- Configure/develop start/stop process (Manual/Scripts)
# Configuration for performance
- Set up Server for optimal performance
- Support application issues and make recommended configuration changes
- Knowledge with mainframe concepts and application development
- Basic Knowledge on IMS DB and RDBMS DB
Secondary Skill:
- Additional capabilities data migration with HCOSS and DATA migration along with microfocus enterprise admin will be a plus.
- Additional capabilities knowledge with the Scheduler along with microfocus enterprise admin will be a plus.
- Knowledge on MQ Backup / Restart and Recovery and Client Reconnection steps will be a plus
- Knowledge on Event Viewer and regedit will be a plus.
- Knowledge of integration with 3rd party tools will be a plus.
