Job description

Application/System Administrator
Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a Application/System Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full-time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) position located in Patuxent River, Maryland 20670 (St. Mary's County Maryland). Candidates must reside within 90 miles of the customer site at Patuxent River, MD 20670 (St. Mary's County Maryland). On-site support is required 3 days per week.
ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs the installation, integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration of software applications with specific focus on Windows systems, including:
    • Microsoft Office products
    • Java JRE
    • Visual Studio
    • Raytheon EAGLE
  • Operations and sustainment of AWS Cloud-native Services, specifically AWS GovCloud.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
  • Provides support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, and internal/external teams.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • BA/BS or Associates degree and 7 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above -OR- HS/GED and 9 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above.
  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar is preferred.
  • College degrees must be obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • Experience troubleshooting software issues.
  • Knowledge of DISA STIGS and how to implement.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (must show proof of cert prior to interview).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirement.
  • Active SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Application installation/configuration/administration experience on Windows-based systems required, experience with large-scale/complex app configuration.
  • Strong foundation and understanding of AWS native services required, experience with AWS GovCloud.
  • Active/Interim TS/SSBI clearance.
COMPENSATION amp; BENEFITS:
The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:
  • The annual base compensation range is $115,000 to $150,000, commensurate with education, certifications, clearance, and experience.
  • Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
