Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Application System Administrator to support the U.S. military's technology infrastructure. The role involves ensuring high availability operations and improving system resilience while collaborating with other technology teams to enhance service quality.
Responsibilities:
• Your combination of people skills and system administrator knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another.
• As a system administrator on our team, you’ll be part of an operations team that works to ensure the infrastructure and application is functional and available while continually looking for ways to make the infrastructure more resilient and highly performant by leveraging the latest technologies and implementing better operations practices.
• You’ll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management.
• Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas, root causes of failures, and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical environment.
• Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning as well as interactions with other supporting government technology teams.
• We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new solutions together.
• Work with us and resolve daily challenges as we improve our customer's quality of service every day.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience supporting a high-availability infrastructure as a Windows or Linux Server Administrator
• 2+ years of experience creating and deploying CI/CD pipelines and using Kubernetes and Terraform
• Experience administering government systems, including installing, configuring, administrating, patching, and security hardening industry-leading and recognized COTS and open-source applications such as operating systems
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Security+ Certification
Preferred:
• Experience with F5 administration
• Knowledge of Windows administration and the tools used to administer updates and software inventory
• Knowledge of networking configuration
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
