JOB OVERVIEW
Enterprise Application Developer works closely with and reports to the Lead Enterprise Application Developer. Owns the development and maintenance of customizations within Teknova's NetSuite ERP platform and integrations with Salesforce, Magento, MasterControl, and downstream systems. Builds Power BI reporting and contributes to custom applications that close functional gaps between systems. Takes high-level requirements and figures out the implementation independently.

Requirements
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, configure, and maintain customizations within Teknova's NetSuite ERP platform, including SuiteScript, workflows, saved searches, and integration endpoints.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce, Magento, MasterControl Production Records, and other downstream enterprise systems.
  • Contribute to custom applications that close functional gaps between Magento, Salesforce, NetSuite, and MasterControl where out-of-the-box capabilities fall short.
  • Build Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and paginated reports based on requirements gathered from business stakeholders.
  • Translate feature-level requirements into technical designs, escalating ambiguous business or architectural questions to the Lead developer or VP.
  • Write unit tests, perform code reviews, and follow source control practices in Azure DevOps for all enterprise application work.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents across the enterprise application stack during business hours, with occasional after-hours support for critical issues.
  • Document technical designs and runbooks, and partner directly with users in Quality, Operations, Finance, and Commercial to refine processes and adapt solutions to changing business requirements.

STANDARD PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
  • Organizes, documents, and reports project status on a weekly or other basis as requested, using standard project reporting methods
  • Embraces the principles and ethics described in the Teknova Guiding Principles
  • This is a hybrid role with regular but not full-time on-site work at the Hollister, CA facility for requirements gathering, training, and production support
  • Continuously learns the technical skills required to deliver enterprise application projects, including platform-specific certifications where appropriate

EDUCATION
  • BS/BBA or equivalent experience in Software Development / Computer Science / MIS / Business Intelligence / Data Management / Analytics or related Information Systems.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 3 years of combined hands-on experience as an enterprise application developer (Biotech, Pharma, Medical Device, or Food industries preferred), in the following areas:
  • Customizing or developing within the NetSuite ERP system (SuiteScript, workflows, saved searches, or SuiteAnalytics)
  • Integrating with Salesforce via REST/SOAP APIs
  • Integrating with Magento, MasterControl, or comparable enterprise platforms via APIs and webhooks
  • Building custom web applications and APIs (e.g., .NET, Node.js, or Python) and Power BI report development
  • Working understanding of enterprise integration patterns and how sales, finance, quality, and manufacturing data flow between connected systems
  • Ability to take a feature-level requirement and figure out the implementation independently, escalating only when ambiguity warrants senior input
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders

$85,000 - $120,000
