ERP Application Developer in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
Become an important member of Gulfstream Aerospace and help deliver the world's finest aviation experience. We are seeking experienced application developers to design, build, enhance and support enterprise applications used to maintain our fleet of business aircraft. This position is well suited for developers who have a solid foundation in enterprise application development and are ready to work more independently while collaborating closely with a larger development team.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise Java applications
  • Perform database development, optimization and troubleshooting
  • Build and support services, APIs and system interfaces
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum development processes, including estimating and planning work
  • Use Git-based source control and Azure DevOps for code management and CI/CD activities
  • Support application servers and deployment environments
  • Support and troubleshoot applications running in Linux environments, including containerized deployments where applicable
  • Collaborate with senior developers, architects and business partners to deliver high-quality solutions

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree may be used to offset one (1) year of experience; PhD may offset two (2) years of experience. 3 years of experience as an IT professional with broad experience across multiple IT disciplines. Specific and in-depth expertise in one or more complex enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, PLM).
Position Purpose:
This is an application development role within the Gulfstream Business Technology organization for the ERP team. This role directly supports the suite of Gulfstream ERP applications. Responsible for developing code in support of new application functionality or defect remediation according to design specifications.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  1. Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (SDLC).
  2. Ensures applications processes are followed consistently and are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, etc.
  3. Experience in conducting testing including design and execution of test cases.
  4. Performs work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading ERP applications and processes. Responsible for tasks related to the development and deployment of systems, methodologies, standards and processes that result in the ability to create and manage the ERP solution.
  5. Under general supervision prepares requirements, specifications, and business process maps.
  6. Documents, develops, tests, deploys, and supports application code in support of business requirements.

Additional Functions:
  1. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings concerning specific projects or other activities. .
  2. Participates in design reviews for implementation projects. .

Perform other duties as assigned.
