Job Description

Medical Assist. - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Compensation: $15-$25/hr based on experience/education + Full Benefits (health, dental, life, vision).

We are looking for an Medical Assistant with outstanding interpersonal skills for a full time position. Proactive Individual with the appreciation of the unique nature of healthcare delivery and related demands.
Perform medical assistant duties such as Intake, preparing patient prior to seeing the doctor and preparing all the paperwork's for billing. Help patients feel comfortable during the entire process. Perform selected nursing and administrative/clerical duties that assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of a physician. These duties are delegated in relation to the individual's degree of training, in accordance with the objectives and policies of the organization and respective state laws governing such action and activities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Medical Assistant:

  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments.
  • Order and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain patient files, records and other information.
  • Maintain equipment for use at all times, in a clean and safe condition.

General: * Chart preparation

  • Complete appropriate documentation on all patients examined.
  • Maintain appropriate communication and good interpersonal skills with Supervisors, staff and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high quality service.
  • Report to work properly dressed according to the approved dress code.
  • Adhere to guidelines concerning working hours and break periods.
  • Manage time effectively to complete all patient treatments and related activities as assigned.
  • Maintain professional standards and procedures ensuring compliance with corporate policies and with applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrate support to other co-workers. Effective Member of the Team. Work well with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in the solution of problems as directed by Supervisor.
  • Maintain strictest level of patient confidentiality
  • Organizational Skills and Multi-Tasking a must.
  • Strong interpersonal Skills.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Anatomy and physiology sufficient to perform medical assisting
  • Medical practice and organizational policies to administer patient care.
  • Use and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Excellent people skills. Ability to work well and effectively with others.

EXPERIENCE
Prior Orthopedic Workers Compensation Experience or Related Field a Plus But Not Required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

  • Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Valid Driver License/Clean Driving Record and ability to travel
