PASTRY PRODUCTION COOK @ Waterman Grille

Waterman Grille is looking for a Pastry Production Cook to join the team.

Inside an historic 1871 gatehouse perched over the Seekonk River, the Waterman Grille presents a vibrant culinary experience on Providence's East Side. Our cooking philosophy is inspired by the seasons, emphasizing fresh, local ingredients, with lively flavors and technique emboldened by the embers of our wood-fired grill. About the Position: In the Pastry Production Cook role, you are responsible for daily prep and production of all pastry and dessert items.

About You: You are passionate about food. You have a strong sense of urgency, great organizational skills, and a positive attitude.

Essential Duties

• Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare pastry and desserts
• Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use
• Prepares food products as determined by recipe, technique, and procedure

Qualifications

• Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
• Minimum of 1 year of pastry production
• Associates degree in baking and pastry preferred, but we will hire candidates with exceptional experience

Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds
• Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships
