We are seeking a dedicated Appointment Coordinator specializing in imaging services to join our healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region. This role involves managing patient scheduling for diagnostic exams, providing clear preparation instructions, and guiding patients on where to arrive for their appointments. The ideal candidate will handle all communications with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to unit safety and infection control protocols.
- Schedule imaging appointments accurately, providing patients with necessary preparation details.
- Offer clear directions to patients regarding exam locations.
- Respond to phone inquiries courteously and promptly.
- Prioritize and schedule urgent exams appropriately.
- Confirm appointment times with patients through follow-up calls.
- At least one year of experience scheduling appointments in a medical clinic setting; radiology experience may be considered in lieu of scheduling experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend medical terminology and related documents.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
