POSITION SUMMARY

As a Medical Assistant Triage (MA) you will be part of a team that strives to uphold Unio Health Partners mission to providing the highest level of care. You will be responsible for collecting data, making assessments, and determining needed interventions with patient care. This includes evaluating symptoms, effectiveness of treatment and when to call back. The Medical Assistant Triage will document patient complaints/symptoms and document patient/caller response. This position goes above and beyond for our patients to take the stress out of each doctor’s visit.

What you will be doing

Provide a variety of patient care tasks including: preparation of patients to be seen by physicians, diagnostic test and treatments
Document and maintain patient's medical history
Collaborate with physician and front office staff to provide exceptional care for our patients
Perform administrative task as assigned
Answering/fielding patient phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of patient rooms
Assist Providers as necessary

What you will bring to the team

2+ years working in a medical office as a Medical Assistant, preferred
Previous experience working in a urology office, a plus
Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Experience with computer based practice management, electronic medical records strongly preferred
