Description
ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Administrative Assistant to support an alcohol licensing team within a Legal Department.This is a 6-month contract role with the potential for extension onsite Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm in Austin, TX. In this position, you will provide licensing, project management, and administrative support to legal and compliance professionals responsible for state alcohol licensing. You will work closely with compliance specialists, internal legal teams, and outside counsel to manage license applications, documentation, and related administrative processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal support professional who can manage high volumes of work, meet tight deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion.
Job Description:
• Provide licensing, project management, and administrative support to the alcohol licensing team within the Legal Department
• Support compliance specialists and legal team members with day-to-day administrative tasks
• Manage and process state alcohol license applications and related legal documentation
• Coordinate with internal legal teams, business partners, and outside counsel
• Prepare, review, mail, and track licensing forms and correspondence
• Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation in compliance with legal requirements
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with minimal guidance
• Respond with appropriate urgency to time-sensitive legal and compliance matters
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with a high level of professionalism
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of legal and compliance operations
Must Have Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in an administrative or legal support role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage a high volume of tasks and projects independently
• Professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential legal information
• Ability to adapt quickly and switch priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
• Client-service oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs is essential
• Experience supporting legal teams or working with administrative agencies or state/government offices handling licenses is a plus
