Renaissance Milwaukee West, a premium distinctive hotel is seeking a talented and versatile General Manager Food and Beverage.Your role will be pivotal in making this Wauwatosa neighborhood restaurant a communal place where everyone will want to gather. Whether they are enjoying the delicious wood-fired cuisine or sipping on one of our signature cocktails our goal is to bring people together and make the guests experience one to never forget.

Voted Best New Restaurant by Milwaukee Magazine Reader's Choice, our team at Eldr+Rime is immensely grateful for the community support. Our restaurant takes inspiration from Scandinavian lifestyle while serving beverage and food that are familiar to every American palate. The name, which loosely translates to FIRE+ICE highlights grilling over live fire and wood oven roasting while also offering delectable seafood prepared over ice.We have one of the best cocktail bars in Milwaukee. Featuring our happy hour or as we refer to it, Hygge Time. In addition, our patio for outdoor beverage and dining, which can be enjoyed all year including experiencing one of our Stugas (igloos) in the winter.

Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Executive Committee, oversee all beverage and food outlets operations and staff. Outlets include Eldr+Rime, Lobby Bar, Club Lounge, In-Room Dining, and Events (Banquets).
  • Generate new business from existing and new guests/clients within beverage and food outlets.
  • Utilize a wide variety of marketing tools and strategies (including use of social media).
  • Develop marketing campaigns and corresponding online and printed marketing materials.
  • Assist with selection, training, counseling and motivating associates.
  • Participate in the development of the hotel expense budget.
  • Work with individual vendors, ensuring services and invoices match; getting the best price for supplies.
  • Meet with and solicit comments from guests on a regular basis to determine their level of satisfaction with all guest services and facilities.
  • Communicate with the property General Manager on a daily basis.
  • Schedule, evaluate, and directs all food and beverage personnel.
  • Participate in monthly departments meetings, property MOD program, weekly staff meeting, weekly food and beverage meetings, monthly inventories, and leadership team meetings.
  • Establish, direct, and review performance standards in food preparation, purchasing, and production to ensure effective, controlled, coordinated efforts are achieved. For example, specs, recipe cards, menu costing, inventory control, etc.
  • Monitor, direct, and coordinate effective sanitation, cleanliness, and organization effort in food and beverage operating areas; to include maintenance and control of glassware, china, silver, and linen use and supplies.
  • Coordinate efforts of the food and beverage departments to coincide with volumes in business generated by the Catering/Sales and Rooms Division. For example, group commitments, full occupancy, etc.
  • Analyze and monitors profit and loss statements.

Compensation:

  • The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 - $116,000.
