Job description

HSS is looking for energetic and dedicated Food & Beverage Staff to join our team! We are currently hiring for several positions. Please see below. Candidates must have a friendly and professional demeanor, work well in a team, and be comfortable on their feet for several hours at a time.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $18.50-$19.29/hr. This range represents the minimum and maximum pay that Hospitality Staffing Solutions reasonably and in good faith believes it will pay for this role at the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities:
Event Setup
  • Room Preparation: Arrange tables, chairs, staging, and dance floors according to the event diagram.
  • Table Settings: Drape tablecloths, place centerpieces, fold napkins, and arrange silverware and glassware.
  • Station Setup: Prepare coffee/tea stations, water stations, and buffet lines.
  • Menu Review: Attend team briefings (roll call) to understand the menu, dietary restrictions, and event timeline.
Food & Beverage Service
  • Guest Assistance: Welcome guests, show them to their tables, and answer menu-related questions.
  • Serving: Deliver pre-determined plated courses or maintain and replenish buffet trays.
  • Beverages: Pour and refill water, coffee, wine, and other beverages throughout the event.
  • Table Maintenance: Promptly clear dirty dishes, glassware, and flatware between courses.
  • Dietary Needs: Communicate and cater to special requests and guest food allergies.
Event Breakdown & Cleanup
  • Clearing: Remove all remaining dinnerware, linens, and centerpieces.
  • Resetting: Fold tables and pack away equipment to restore the room to its standard layout or prepare it for the next event.
  • Sanitation: Assist in cleaning the dining space, organizing the back-of-house storeroom, and taking dishes to the stewarding/dishwashing area.
