Job Title: IT Support SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide first-level technical support in a dynamic business environment. The ideal candidate will independently manage user accounts, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth IT operations with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Independently provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral issues in a live business environment.

  • Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions with minimal supervision.

  • Respond to, triage, and resolve help desk tickets with appropriate prioritization and documentation.

  • Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolution.

  • Configure and deploy workstations, printers, and peripherals according to established standards.

  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting on user devices.

  • Install and update software applications following documented procedures.

  • Maintain IT inventory and asset tracking records.

  • Update and follow existing IT documentation and procedures; identify gaps or outdated materials.

  • Perform accurate data entry tasks for IT and other departments as needed, with a high degree of attention to detail.

  • Prepare documentation and reports related to IT operations.

  • Provide support for company meetings or events as required.

  • Handle incoming IT support requests professionally and efficiently.

  • Manage workload independently in an environment with limited day-to-day supervision.

  • Exercise sound judgment when addressing issues that impact business operations.

  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities during periods of high operational demand.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of industry experience in an IT Support role.

  • Proficient working with Google Workspace.

  • Proficient working with Active Directory.

  • Strong skills in hardware and software troubleshooting.

  • Full workstation setup experience.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Google Workspace, hardware troubleshooting, software troubleshooting, SharePoint, and workstation setup.

Work Environment

The IT Support Specialist will work primarily in an office environment with approximately 30-50 people on-site. This role involves direct, in-person IT support, focusing more on immediate troubleshooting rather than using a ticketing system. The specialist will be part of a small team and will have direct access to a supervisor, as well as collaboration with a DevOps Engineer and Systems Administrator.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

-Benefits 100% covered and 80% covered for family
