Objective of the Role
The Sales & Education Manager for the East Coast will be responsible for directing sales policies, channels, objectives, and initiatives for high-end skincare product lines. The role involves setting short-term and long-term sales strategies, evaluating the effectiveness of current programs, and driving sales growth. Active selling, product demonstrations, and in-store presence are essential to achieve sales targets and increase market share.

They possess excellent communication and presentation skills, a creative problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with store management teams are crucial. A bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant experience are required.
Responsibilities
  • Increasing Market Share and Meeting Sales Targets:
    • Execute the sales strategy with a focus on retailer in-store business.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local store management teams.
    • Achieve sales targets by working closely with store teams and clients.
    • Define and manage the customer experience at the point of sale.
    • Train and support retailers' sales staff and manage in-store Beauty Advisors.
    • Collaborate on event strategies and budgets with the Director of Sales and Trade Marketing Manager.
    • Ensure consistent implementation of merchandising and grooming guidelines.
    • Develop and track Beauty Advisor metrics.
  • Business Support Functions:
    • Advocate retailer needs with internal cross-functional partners.
    • Oversee execution of merchandising, promotional, and launch calendars.
    • Conduct competitive research and perform administrative tasks.
    • Present seasonal marketing activities and develop strategies for seasonal sales activations with Store Management Teams.
  • Reporting:
    • Track and analyze competitive promotions for future planning.
    • Provide quarterly recaps highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
    • Analyze sell-out trends and report monthly on sales KPIs.
    • Maintain account goal tracking and provide feedback on products.
  • Events:
    • Collaborate on planning and executing events with the Trade Marketing Manager.
    • Act as host for store-level or retailer-level events.
    • Recommend event strategies based on retailer trends.
  • Education:
    • Host in-store training sessions for sales teams.
    • Report on competitive training programs.
    • Conduct new hire onboarding for store staff.
    • Recommend and distribute digital and print training materials.
Requirements
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • At least 5 years of experience in sales roles, preferably in the beauty industry, with high-end retailers.
    • Proven success in meeting sales targets and experience in training sales personnel.
    • Appreciated previous experience: Sisley, Shiseido, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Cle De Peau, Dior, Chanel, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Valmont, Guerlain, Babor, La Prairie, La Mer, Strivectin, Supergoop!, Peter Thomas Roth,
    • Appreciated previous titles: Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Wholesale Sales Manager
  • Skills:
    • Fluent in English; additional languages, especially Spanish, are a plus.
