Position Description
The DNA Learning Center NYC (DNALC) is currently seeking a full-time Program Administrator to work in a busy environment at its Brooklyn campus. The DNALC is the world's first science center devoted entirely to genetics education, and is a destination for school field trips, summer camps and programs for the general public.
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:- Customer service duties, including answering phone calls and emails, and meeting and greeting visitors
- Maintaining and purchasing office supplies
- Assisting with mailings, marketing, proofreading, and editing
- Booking school reservations, invoicing, and visitation reports
- Answering summer camp reservation questions, approving camp applications, tracking camp attendance, and
preparing camp documents (sign-in sheets, name tags, certificates, etc)
- Maintenance of financial records for income, payments, and budgets
- Data collection and entry
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, data tracking, and reporting, be proficient in Word, and Outlook, have a minimum of three years of customer service or office experience, and must feel comfortable working in a lively environment with
lots of social interaction. Strong organizational, time management, prioritization and problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently and multi-task are required. Interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
