What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A Weekend Project Coordinator typically earns less than $10,000 a month, but some freelance or entrepreneurial roles in fields like digital marketing, consulting, or real estate can generate that income without a degree. Success in such roles often depends on skills, experience, and network, rather than formal education.

What are Weekend Project Coordinators?

Weekend Project Coordinators are professionals responsible for overseeing and managing projects that occur during weekends. They ensure that all aspects of a project, such as scheduling, resource allocation, and communication, run smoothly outside of regular weekday hours. Their duties often include coordinating with team members, monitoring progress, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring project milestones are met on time. This role is critical in industries where operations or events take place over the weekend, such as construction, events, or facility maintenance.

What jobs pay $500,000 a year in the US?

Jobs that can pay $500,000 or more annually include high-level executive roles such as CEOs and CFOs, successful entrepreneurs, top-tier surgeons, and certain specialized professionals like investment bankers and hedge fund managers. These positions typically require extensive experience, advanced skills, and often involve significant responsibilities or ownership stakes.

How does a Weekend Project Coordinator typically manage communication and collaboration with teams that may have limited availability during weekends?

As a Weekend Project Coordinator, you'll often encounter the challenge of collaborating with team members who may not be working standard hours. Effective communication is key—this usually involves setting clear expectations ahead of the weekend, leveraging project management tools to track progress, and scheduling brief check-ins or status updates at mutually convenient times. Coordinators often rely on asynchronous communication methods, such as emails or shared dashboards, to ensure everyone stays informed. Building strong relationships during the week can also help secure support and prompt responses when needed over the weekend.

How much is the salary for a project coordinator?

The salary for a weekend project coordinator typically ranges from $40,000 to $60,000 annually, depending on experience, industry, and location. Part-time or weekend roles may offer hourly wages between $15 and $30. Certifications in project management can also influence compensation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Weekend Project Coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend Project Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, project management knowledge, and often a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with project management software like Trello, Microsoft Project, or Asana, as well as basic office tools, is typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities help you coordinate teams and deliver results under tight deadlines. These skills ensure projects stay on track and stakeholders remain informed, even during non-standard work hours.

Is a project coordinator an entry level position?

A project coordinator role can be entry-level or require some experience, depending on the organization and industry. Entry-level project coordinators typically need strong organizational skills and may use tools like MS Office or project management software. More complex projects or larger organizations may prefer candidates with prior experience or certifications such as CAPM or PMP.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our dynamic Team. This is a highly cross-functional position that works in coordination with a wide variety of PTE business partners, across several industry segments, to help us meet our business plan to maximize the social and economic value of Puyallup Tribal lands and resources.

The Project Coordinator exists to help PTE turn portfolio-level priorities into completed work. This position supports the coordination and execution of growth-related projects across PTE's operating entities. Working under the direction of the Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer, and alongside entity teams, this person clarifies the objectives, organizes the work, coordinates stakeholders and vendors, tracks decisions, and helps ensure final outputs are accurate, and polished. The role requires ownership, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to make progress without waiting for every step to be defined.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Coordination and Execution Across the Portfolio

  • Support assigned growth-related projects from intake through delivery, coordinating the steps needed to keep work moving and complete
  • Help build and maintain project frameworks, trackers, timelines, approval workflows, implementation plans, and create them where none exist
  • Coordinate across entity teams, external vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Identify risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and unresolved decisions early, and surface them before they delay the work
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects without losing accuracy, momentum, or follow-through
  • Prepare business materials, capture decisions, assign and track next steps, and ensure action items are completed
  • Maintain organized, accessible documentation for active projects and completed initiatives
  • Help deliver final outputs that are accurate, usable, polished, and ready for implementation

Research, Documentation, and Business Support

  • Conduct competitive, market, and operational research as directed
  • Summarize findings clearly and translate information into usable recommendations or next steps
  • Draft internal and external documents across a range of formats and audiences
  • Prepare business updates, project briefs, meeting summaries, vendor communications, implementation plans, and presentation materials
  • Ensure communication is clear, accurate, professional, and aligned with PTE's expectations
  • Organize information so that leadership and entity teams can make decisions and take action

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Champion PTE Values and work to teach and promote them throughout PTE
  • Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout PTE
  • Use all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results for PTE; maintain PTE equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
  • Strictly follow workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard PTE assets at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum

  • BA/BS degree in business, marketing, communications, operations, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, business operations, marketing operations, administrative support, or another role requiring ownership and follow-through on cross-functional work
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once across different teams, functions, or stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear, structured, accurate documents with minimal revision
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work across different industries and functions without needing deep domain expertise in each one
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make sound judgment calls when direction is incomplete
  • Ability to build structure where none exists and to keep work organized and on track
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Relates well to all people, diplomatic/gracious; builds good relationships without compromising results
  • Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
  • Uncompromising integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass background check

Preferred

  • Experience working across a portfolio of businesses or within a multi-entity organization
  • Background in business operations, marketing, commercial operations, agency operations, or project execution
  • Experience creating systems, templates, workflows, or documentation structures from scratch
  • Experience connecting project execution to business growth, customer experience, sales activity, or operational improvement
