As the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, you'll lead and position Derse's sales and marketing for our client facing vision statement and multiple Derse differentiators. This role is a pillar in our executive and organizational leadership, educating and selling Derse for our internal staff and ongoing client relationships. Success will be measured through profitable sales growth, sales team development, and large opportunity growth. Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing Responsibilities 

  • Strategize and achieve approved annual sales, revenue, and profitability targets while overseeing sales and marketing objectives.
  • Create and oversee annual budgets and business plans for Marketing, Corporate Sales, Client Strategic Services, and Healthcare specialty vertical.
  • Review and approve key sales and marketing deliverables to best serve Derse's direct goals and market placement.
  • Provide oversight to the Account Executive / Director development programs, sales policies, market positioning, and other initiatives.
  • Participate in proactive support resolution of significant AE/AD, client, and/or business development conflicts, upholding Derse brand.
  • Collaborate regularly and openly with various corporate and divisional team members for strategic approaches to business goals.   
  • Daily and annual management of direct reports consisting of; VP Sales, VP Client Strategy, VP Marketing, VP Healthcare Strategy, VP Healthcare Client Development, and Director of Business Development.  
  • Serve as a member of the Executive Team, contributing to all leadership priorities for and beyond the sales and marketing functions.
  • Develop and execute business development and client retention strategies, focused around long-term relationship management.
  • Lead large-opportunity win/loss research, including client follow-up and executive reporting.
  • Direct the distribution, tracking, and follow-up of all corporate sales and marketing leads, ensuring timely attention.
  • Oversee the RFP process, ensuring high-quality strategic responses, presentation deliverables, and regular audits are completed.
  • Prepare and present the annual profit plan sales forecast to CEO and President for review and approval.
  • Lead the planning and execution of bi-annual National Sales Meeting, President's Circle Meeting, and other annual sales recognitions.
  • Oversee companywide CRM system, participating in the support of the Client Relationship program itself.

Requirements

Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing Requirements and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar required. Master's of Business Administration or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales, business development, or marketing experience with 5+ years in senior leadership required.
  • Prior experience in the Experiential Marketing industry required, preferred in strategic or executive leadership with direct reports.
  • Financial acumen and strong presentation of financial reporting experience.
  • Working knowledge in CRM systems, pipeline management, and performance metrics required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related.
  • Ability to travel and support business climate. Travel is considered extensive and is not limited to just domestic travel.
