The Experience Design (XD) team is a collective of designers who intend provide thoughtful and creative digital work balancing the goals of our users with the goals of our clients, so our solutions add value, are intuitive and drive success
Who we are looking for:
The VP Digital Design Lead will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing multiple projects at once across multiple accounts. In this role, you will work autonomously and also with lead ux designers, lead art directors and copywriters to develop solutions that meet the overall project and account goals. Your work is thoughtful, well-executed and the end users are at the helm of your decision-making.
In addition to project responsibilities, you actively participate in internal XD initiatives such as creating best practices POVs and seeking new inspiration that helps shape the future of the team and help to continue our position as digital thought leaders in the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 7+ years UX/UI design experience with a visual design or product design
• Presents a strong design portfolio showcasing a variety of digital projects - including mobile-first websites and native phone or tablet applications
• Proficient in the latest digital design tools including Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, and Zeplin,
• A strong passion for interface visual design, UX best practices, design systems, and prototyping
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with internal and external development teams
• Detail focused, goal oriented, and well organized
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, etc
• Experience in staffing, managing and mentoring lower-level UX designers
• Experience in brief, budget, scope and timeline creation in conjunction with project management group
• Experience in reviewing existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations
• Experience in user-centered design methods and techniques and strong experience strategy skills
• Experience and working knowledge of accessibility and WCAG standards
• Ability to distill complex ideas into simple concepts, defend your work and be the expert in the room

• Experience managing lower-lever designers and providing direction and guidance

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with UX design leads, copywriters, and art directors
• Drive a strategic and conceptual vision across various projects within the patient journey
• Influences project level planning and overall design of the user experience for multiple projects
• Develop an experience strategy and collaborate with brand teams to execute creation of the user experience design
• Build stronger agency/brand team perception as an expert to foster stronger relationships with higher-level department leaders
• Create visual design concepts and be able to communicate needs and manage the visual design process from ideation to development and launch
o Generate high-fidelity, pixel perfect visual designs and production assets
o Prepare assets and development build kits including interaction specs
o Work with developers to provide guidance and validate implementation
• Participate in new business pitches as necessary
• Actively seek and share digital inspiration (creative, UX, technology, general digital trends).
