Job description

The purpose of the Individual Contributor, Contract Logistics Sales role is to drive new business growth and customer retention for Contract Logistics solutions, including Dedicated and Warehouse Management. This role is responsible for generating and closing new sales opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and consistently achieving assigned revenue, margin, and retention targets through direct selling activities

Responsibilities

  • Aligns the Regional sales organization's objectives with firm business strategy through active participation in sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
  • Participates in establishing performance metrics and managing the assigned sales organization's performance through the sales management system. This includes managing performance through the critical performance measures; ensure the equitable allocation of organization objectives for sales channels, markets, and personnel; and ensuring all key sales associates are held accountable for assigned results.
  • Accountable for the assigned sales market budget. Continuously assessing and offering feedback on existing sales organization support investments, including those in technology, training, and administrative support. Ensures support investments yield productivity benefits consistent with established objectives.
  • Advocates sales organization change initiatives by working with SVP Sales, continuously assessing the need for organizational change, advocating change initiatives, and working within constructive plan developed for organizational change.
  • Establishes and maintains productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Participate in all meetings and calls with the customer.
  • Ensure business reviews occur at a regular cadence.
  • Actively participate in identifying and resolving customer business problems as they arise.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management or similar field required. 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience required.

Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.

  • Expected Pay Range: $119,412.00-$140,308.70
  • Full Pay Range: $119,412.00-$203,000.00
  • Pay Grade: 15
