Job description

Somnia Anesthesia is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join their team in Long Beach, CA, a vibrant coastal city. This role offers full-spectrum anesthesia practice with a competitive salary and benefits package. New graduates are welcome to apply for this opportunity.

Practice Info

  • Practice environment includes 10 ORs + 2 OBs within a 427-bed facility.
  • St. Mary Medical Center is a Level II trauma center.
  • The facility handles an average of 7,388 cases + 1,055 births annually.
  • Cases include general, ortho, urology, hearts, heads, trauma, neuro, peds, and OB (100 deliveries a month).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct anesthesia services to Center patients, with an expectation of 100% clinical work.
  • Manage incidents or complications.
  • Communicate with the onsite Medical Director on questions regarding safety and policy and procedure protocols.
  • Assist and collaborate with peers efficiently and effectively to ensure smooth patient care and safety.

Compensation

  • Annual base compensation $577,500
  • $20k sign-on
  • Additional earnings for call
  • Relocation assistance/allowance available up to $10,000 for out-of-state or out-of-area candidates (receipts required)
  • Referral bonus of up to $5,000 if a referred colleague is hired

Shift & Schedule
