Pelvic Pain Anesthesiologist Telemedicine New York 

Location: Remote with optional in-person clinic availability.  

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | W2 Employee

Salary: $125,000 - $250,000


Position Overview

Maiden Lane Medical is seeking a New York-licensed Anesthesiologist with expertise in pain management to provide care for patients with chronic pelvic pain within a multidisciplinary women’s health model.

This is a telemedicine-first role, focused on evaluation, diagnosis, and longitudinal management. Providers may elect to participate in in-person clinic sessions at New York locations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Conduct comprehensive telemedicine consultations for chronic pelvic pain.

  • Diagnose and manage conditions including:

    • Endometriosis-related pain.

    • Pelvic floor dysfunction.

    • Neuropathic pelvic pain (e.g., pudendal neuralgia).

    • Interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome.

  • Develop evidence-based, multimodal treatment plans.

  • Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State regulations, prioritizing non-opioid and appropriate adjuvant therapies.

  • Provide ongoing virtual follow-up and care optimization.

Regulatory & Prescribing Compliance (New York)

  • Maintain active, unrestricted New York medical license.

  • Maintain DEA registration.

  • Comply with all New York controlled substance prescribing laws, including:

    • Mandatory consultation of PMP/I-STOP prior to prescribing controlled substances.

    • Adherence to state opioid prescribing guidelines.

  • Follow all New York telehealth requirements, including patient consent and documentation standards.

  • Practice in accordance with New York State Department of Health and Office of the Professions regulations.


Care Coordination

  • Collaborate with:

    • OB/GYN providers

    • Urology

    • Pelvic floor physical therapy

    • Behavioral health

  • Coordinate referrals for in-person evaluation or interventional procedures when clinically indicated 

Documentation

  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in the EMR (eClinicalWorks)

  • Ensure compliance with New York telehealth documentation requirements, including:

    • Visit modality (video)

    • Patient location and consent

    • Clinical assessment and plan

Qualifications

Required

  • MD or DO, Board Certified Anesthesiology

  • Fellowship training or significant experience in Pain Medicine

  • Active, unrestricted New York medical license

  • Active DEA registration

  • Experience managing chronic pain conditions, preferably pelvic pain

Preferred

  • Experience in telemedicine

  • Familiarity with:

    • Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain syndromes

    • Central sensitization and complex pain disorders

  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary care model
