About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and people focused leader to take on the role of Vice President Contract Logistics. This position plays a key role in shaping and leading a complex Contract Logistics operation, ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strong partnerships with customers and internal teams.
The VP Contract Logistics leads strategy execution while remaining closely connected to the day to day business. This role combines commercial insight, operational leadership, and a strong focus on people, performance, and continuous improvement.
 

How you will contribute

  • Define and execute the Contract Logistics strategy in line with European and global priorities, translating plans into measurable results.
  • Lead and develop a multi site, multi country organization, fostering a strong culture of safety, engagement, and performance.
  • Drive profitable growth through operational excellence, successful contract retention, and close collaboration with commercial teams.
  • Ensure smooth implementation and ramp up of new customers and expansions, delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Own P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial discipline, with a strong focus on sustainable profitability.
  • Build long term, trusted partnerships with key customers, maintaining high service levels and continuous improvement.
  • Standardize processes, systems, and ways of working while encouraging innovation and data driven decision making.
  • Promote a culture of continuous and business process improvement across all operations.
  • Collaborate closely with support functions (Finance, HR, IT, Procurement) to deliver integrated business outcomes.
  • Act as a role model for integrity, compliance, and leadership values across the organization.

What you will bring

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within Contract Logistics or a similar operational environment, with full P&L responsibility.
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex organizations and inspire high performing, diverse teams.
  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset combined with hands on operational leadership.
  • Solid financial acumen and experience managing large scale budgets and growth initiatives.
  • Fluency in business English and German and residency in The Netherlands with willingness to travel regularly.
