Job description

HCT seeks an experienced medical staff services leader for a 300+ bed hospital in California. The Interim Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • directing, planning, and managing the daily operations of the medical staff office,
  • establishing and maintaining continuity in the implementation of standards relating to credentialing, quality, education and governance functions, and
  • ensuring the Medical Staff Office and credentialing program follows state and federal regulations, TJC standards, and CMA guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in healthcare with 5+ years leading a Medical Staff Services department within a hospital setting; Medical Staff credentialing, basic Medical Staff organizational structure; knowledge of TJC, CMS, CDPH/Title 22 Standards, and NCQA standards for hospital medical staff.
  • License: None required
  • Certifications: CPCS and/or CPMSM preferred
  • Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of databases, Electronic Medical Record, other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
