What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct the overall strategy, long-term planning, and operational performance of the Rental Department to support company growth and profitability.
  • Process Optimization: Develop, implement, and monitor standardized rental processes companywide to improve efficiency and deliver exceptional internal and external customer experiences.
  • Customer Development: Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective rental customers while collaborating closely with Sales Representatives within assigned territories.
  • Product Expertise: Maintain advanced knowledge of equipment products, applications, and industry best practices to support customer and team success.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, recruit, supervise, and develop Rental Department personnel through coaching, training, onboarding, regular performance feedback, and career development while fostering accountability, collaboration, and strong customer engagement skills. Manage departmental administrative functions including equipment sourcing, rental contracts, certificates of insurance, invoicing, and documentation accuracy.
  • Rental Operations & Asset Management: Oversee rental fleet assets, logistics coordination, hauling vendors, inventory planning, and Integrated Rental software operations to maximize utilization, profitability, and operational efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators including rental revenue, fleet productivity, freight profitability, and equipment readiness while managing rental damage resolution and implementing competitive pricing strategies.
  • Brand & Marketing Support: Assist in executing rental branding initiatives and marketing strategies to increase market visibility and customer engagement.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with Product Support Departments to resolve equipment preparation, maintenance, and operational issues.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Experience: 5+ years of equipment rental, heavy equipment, or sales experience preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and build strong customer relationships.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of heavy equipment operations, rental processes, and product applications.
  • Organization & Adaptability: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with data entry and basic computer skills, including navigation and internet usage.
  • Travel: Ability to travel within assigned territory with flexible scheduling
