Summary
The Driver Trainer is responsible for conducting driver orientation, vehicle handling procedures, and follow-up training, including annual revalidations and driver audits. This role supports all departmental training needs and ensures that trainees adhere to training protocols, driving standards, and road safety policies.
Responsibilities
  • Primary
    • Train all employees, ensuring they understand all requirements
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, with strong presentation skills
    • Manage driver revalidation's, accident reviews, annual validations, and audits to ensure policy compliance
    • Assess training needs for driver trainees and report employee concerns to the Training Supervisor
  • Secondary
    • Conduct impromptu site and yard visits to monitor compliance with driving and road safety policies.
    • Assist in other departments as needed, including the yard department when not conducting driver training.

Skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and assessment skills for effective training delivery
  • Ability to assess training needs, monitor employee performance, and enforce compliance with safety standards
  • Strong understanding of driver training requirements, Glovis safety regulations, and company policies

Education & Experience
  • HS Diploma/G.E.D Required
