Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Training Assistant reports directly to the Director of Training. The primary responsibility of the Training Assistant is to coordinate trainings and ensure that all staff members receive the required trainings needed to perform their jobs. The Training Assistant is responsible for the administrative duties of the training program. The Training Assistant collaborates and communicates with all levels of management. This position includes occasional work on weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS


Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of administrative and office experience required. Experience working in a DDA licensed agency and familiarity with learning management systems a plus.

Skills: Must have strong computer skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and be personable with a professional demeanor. Public speaking experience a plus. Must have ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and priorities in an organized and timely manner, be a self-starter and proactive in approach to resolve problems and issues independently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serves as the point of contact for the training department; represents CSAAC’s training department in a professional, friendly manner.
  • Oversees new hires through the initial training period to ensure they receive all required training within the allotted timeframe.
  • Coordinates with all levels of personnel to ensure that recertification training is completed to maintain compliance throughout the organization.
  • Assists with the management of the Learning Management System.
  • Manages the training facility and logistical coordination:
    • Schedules and coordinates the use of the training rooms and equipment.
    • Sets up the training rooms for trainings and meetings.
    • Prepares training materials.
    • Assists trainers with audio-visual equipment.
  • Responsible for processing Medication Technician initial and renewal applications and verifying that Medication Technician certifications are current.
  • Maintains a close communication flow with: Director of Training, Trainers, HR, and Program Managers and Directors.
  • Performs general administrative duties as required to ensure maximum organization and efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED TRAINING/PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate level skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Outlook, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm, 10-key proficiency a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 20 pounds.
