Job Purpose: Support and help lead Deal Tracking efforts within Income Tracking by ensuring accurate administration, tracking, and recovery of publishing income in accordance with contractual terms.

What You'll Do: (job responsibilities)

  • Collaboration with staff across multiple departments to meet expectations for productivity, quality, and departmental goals

  • Support Deal Tracking responsibilities by validating contractual terms, carve-outs, and exceptions, and ensuring accurate application within royalty tracking and reporting workflows

  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for complex deal-related questions and validations

  • Assist the department in identifying and recovering income related to deal-specific discrepancies

  • Field inquiries from Legal, Finance, Licensing, and other internal departments to ensure proper processing, alignment, and quality assurance

  • Prepare and review cyclical royalty summaries, deal-driven analysis, and financial reporting for internal stakeholders

  • Support ad hoc requests, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives as needed

Who You Are: (skills and experience required)

  • Solid understanding of copyright economics and industry standard accounting principles and practices

  • You are a clear and effective communicator, comfortable translating complex deal terms into actionable guidance

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • A continuous-improvement mindset - you strive for efficiency & effectiveness in your work

  • Exceptional interpersonal relationship building

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and foster teamwork and unity within a department

  • You have a strategic mindset and lean on data to inform and track business goals

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to quickly learn systems that handle large-volume data, Python skills are a plus

  • 5 or more years of income tracking, royalties, and/or other related experience required

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events
