Job description

The Privacy Consent Management team covers online tracking, privacy preferences and acknowledgements applications and services to support compliance with existing and future privacy legislation (e.g. CAN-SPAM, ePrivacy, California Consumer Privacy Act). The Privacy Consent Management team provides consistent experiences and content to consumers and employees data privacy across JPMC and ensuring alignment with federal and international privacy requirements. 

As a Product Director - Data Privacy & Consent Management within the Privacy Consent Management team, you will lead the development and execution of JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s consent and online tracking capabilities. In this role, you will partner with product owners and product managers to define and implement a strategic vision that aligns with the goals of the Consumer & Community Banking Privacy Office and the needs of direct consumers. You will collaborate closely with technology scrum teams to ensure consistent progress against the strategy, manage releases, and maintain alignment with business priorities. You will regularly communicate progress toward strategic objectives to diverse stakeholders, including end users and senior leadership across the firm. This highly collaborative position requires proven product management, ownership, and communication skills, as well as the ability to operate cross-functionally across development, research, client interaction, architecture, process mapping, and resource planning while balancing goals and constraints. You will be responsible for creating, promoting, and clearly articulating a roadmap to deliver the strategic vision for Privacy Consent Management, and you will provide subject matter expertise in online tracking elements, including tags and cookies.

This highly collaborative position requires an individual who has demonstrable product management, ownership, and communication skills. The ideal candidate understands that product management is cross-functional and involves development, research, client interaction, architecture, process mapping, resource planning, and general awareness of goals versus constraints. The position will be responsible for creating, driving and communicating a roadmap to implement the strategic vision for Privacy Consent Management. The APO will also be expected to provide subject matter expertise in Online Tracking Elements including tags and cookies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the Consumer and User Experience Lead to create a strategic vision for all Digital Experiences related to Privacy Consent
  • Working with internal clients (such as Customer Profile) and management to lay out a roadmap for product development that delivers the strategic vision for the products
  • Maintaining progress against product roadmaps and balancing internal and client demands against release schedules
  • Understanding the broader CCB Privacy Office, including the Privacy Product and how applications cross impact each other to maintain a complete product
  • Oversee the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets.
  • Lead the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth.
  • Coach and mentor the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives.
  • Own product performance and be accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and identify opportunities for product differentiation.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics.
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Experience with online tracking and/or tag management systems to ensure compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills to plan, organize and schedule resources
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
  • Capable of navigating in dynamic and complex organization environment and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals 
  • Driven independent leader with the ability to discern when to escalate appropriately
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities on tight deadlines without compromising quality
