Job description

NVR Manufacturing in Thurmont MD is looking for an hourly Logistics Communications Coordinator. The Logistics Communications Coordinator supports scheduling and logistics as the primary point of contact for Homebuilding Project Managers in the field as well as the haulers that deliver our products. In addition to communication, this role works to solve problems in real time while also helping coordinate reverse logistics and other operations to plan for the following day. Serves as back up to other areas of the logistics department on an as-needed basis.

Position Details

  • Hiring immediately
  • 1st Shift work hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm (M-F)
  • Pay rate for this position is $27.35 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure each package receives an ETA and it is communicated to the field.
  • Answer inquiries from Project Managers about load status.
  • Communicate any issues (bad drops, etc.) with the logistics team, customer, and hauler.
  • Assist the Logistics team with the assembly of driver paperwork.
  • Provide support to returns and audits as needed.
  • Separate and sort kitchen paperwork and attach to shipping documentation.
  • Print all rough and trim delivery paperwork.
  • Update various shipping and internal administrative reports.
  • Update directions for new communities.

Requirements:

  • Preference given for administrative and/or logistics experience.

  • Strong communicator, both verbally and written, with the ability to develop relationships with customers and haulers.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills

  • Results driven with the ability to balance multiple priorities and changing demands.

  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
