North American Logistics Specialist I- Dallas, TX

About the position: As a member of the North American Operations team, the North American Logistics Specialist will provide leading and managed support for day-to-day processes for clients, carriers, and functionality within the TM System. This will include working closely with a team of individuals to ensure best practices are being implemented and maintained for continued success throughout the organization.

Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Providing overall support the the North American Operational Team
  • Shipment tracking and tracing
  • Communicate and operate day-to-day functions effectively to build strong working relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, carriers, etc., and help support carrier development opportunities and projects.
  • Source prospective carriers using various web portals and web tools.
  • Spot quoting Drayage, FTL, LTL, and Project Cargo shipment transactional opportunities and executing accepted loads.

About you:

You are a great fit for this role if you:

  • Have 3-5 years of supply chain, transportation and/or logistics experience. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Have proficient knowledge of Domestic Transportation, FTL. LTL, and Drayage
  • Proficient in a TMS, and the MS Office Suite
  • Are flexible and adaptable to ever-changing priorities, and have the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and are able to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Have exceptional critical thinking and project planning skills, as well as the ability to find and recommend creative solutions to common problems.
