Job Title: SDET- API
Location: Chennai (Hybrid)
Duration: Full time role
UK Shift 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm IST
Working Hours, location:
To ensure coverage with North American teams, working ours will be 2 PM to 11 PM India time
Working from Chennai office, in a hybrid model
Position Overview:
s an SDET for Java-based applications, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will work closely with developers, PO, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, create test strategies, and deliver high-quality, robust applications.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for Java-based applications using tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, or similar.
  • Test Strategy: Collaborate with development and QA teams to create comprehensive test plans and strategies that cover functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Code Review and Improvement: Conduct code reviews to ensure that test code and automation scripts follow best practices and improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Defect Identification: Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing, and work with development teams to resolve them.
  • Performance Testing: Perform performance and load testing to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks and handle expected traffic loads.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for test cases, test results, and automated test scripts.

Required Skills:
  • Experience: Proven experience as an SDET or in a similar role, with a strong focus on Java-based applications.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Java and experience with Java-based testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Test Automation: Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or similar.
  • Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test / Developer or equivalent role, in APIs, especially REST calls.
  • Expertise in Java, experience using a SQL database (MySQL, MSSQL, etc.).
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • bility to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Conversational English required

Bonus Points:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with API testing and documentation tools.
