Job description

Sierra7 is hiring an Application Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications! In this role, you will test software packages and deployments, identify defects, support issue resolution, and help deliver applications that are ready for enterprise use.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance testing for application packages and deployments.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Test applications using packaging technologies including AdminStudio, Flexera, SCCM, App-V, MSIX, and MSI.
  • Validate application customizations and transforms (MST).
  • Develop and execute test cases involving PowerShell and VBScript.
  • Verify applications are ready for deployment and patch management.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to support continuous delivery.
  • Test applications and integrations involving Microsoft Power Apps, SharePoint, and ServiceNow.


Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of applicable experience
  • Experience testing applications on Windows client operating systems.
  • Knowledge of QA testing methodologies and defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with application packaging tools and technologies.
  • Experience with PowerShell and/or VBScript.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, SharePoint, or ServiceNow.
  • Microsoft or application packaging certifications.
  • Experience with automated testing tools.
