Job description

The Test Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific by supporting the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) teams in the verification and validation of Command and Control Processor (C2P) and Multi-Tactical Data Link (MTDL) systems. They will play a supporting role in achieving the organizations goals by providing C2P subject matter expertise in the coordination, execution, analysis, and reporting of test events in a controlled testing environment. This position will directly impact through US Navy mission and operational readiness through the test and evaluation of major program baselines to support program acquisition milestone decisions.
CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES
An Entry level Test Analyst will be able to perform the following, with guidance:
Perform analysis of system extracted test data, to validate tactical message handling and system performance against system standards and specifications for developmental and fielded C4I systems.
Utilize common and system specific data analysis tools to support the validation of system requirements.
Provide input for required status reports, Test Observation Reports (TORs), and Trouble Report Retest Status (TRRS) documentation to the appropriate internal stakeholders. Submit required input on time and with accuracy, IAW company and customer approved guidelines for test and evaluation report writing.
Research and assist in the review of system specifications and technical documentations to support analysis of system requirements which support the development of test cases, test procedures and test scripts, as required by the project/program.
Attend and participate in Data Analysis Group Meetings. Present technical analysis and test results at Data Analysis Group and Join Analysis Team session, as required.
Contribute to development of system requirement results and test requirement traceability for test report documentation.
Assist in the execution of test procedures, data collection, preliminary data analysis, data removal, and data transfer.
Support the troubleshooting of test issues and apply standard troubleshooting techniques to identify the issue with systems, support systems, or interfaces. Provide operational support for trouble report resolution activities to include, system problem isolation, detection, and resolution.
Assist in the development of test plans and evaluation solutions through implementation of test artifacts (e.g. reports, flowcharts, architectures, and diagram).
Assist in the setup, operation, and tear down of the test architecture of various systems and sub-systems.
A Junior level Test Analyst will be able to perform the following, with some supervision:
Perform analysis of system extracted test data, reviewing tactical message handling and system performance, validating system meets standards and specifications for developmental and fielded C4I systems.
Utilize common and system specific data analysis tools to support the validation of system requirements, to root-cause and troubleshoot minor issues observed or documented during testing.
Provide required status reports, Test Observation Reports (TORs), and Trouble Report Retest Status (TRRS) documentation to the appropriate internal stakeholders. Submit required input on time and with accuracy, IAW company and customer approved guidelines for test and evaluation report writing.
Execute test procedures, data collection, preliminary data analysis, data removal, and data transfer.

Execute test procedures, data collection, preliminary data analysis, data removal, and data transfer.
Generate requirement results and test requirement traceability in support of test report documentation.
Setup, operation, and tear down of the test architecture of various systems and sub-systems.
Troubleshoot test issues and apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify the issue with systems, support systems, or interfaces. Provide operational support for trouble report resolution activities to include, system problem isolation, detection, and resolution.
Lead or participate in project oriented meetings for the management, progression, and or closure of support activities.
Identify project requirements by coordinating with customers; analyzing operations; determining project scope; documenting results; preparing customer deliverables.
Supports in the training of junior members of the team.
Periodically stand-in as Event Lead to support during testing or may lead a small team.

Entry Test Analyst: $80,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually, DOE
Junior Test Analyst: $100,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually, DOE

SECURITY CLEARANCE
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
