Overview

Sustaining Test Engineer II. Location: Minnesota: Rochester. Employment Type: Regular. Post Date: 7/13/2026. Category: Manufacturing / Operations.

Description

You will be part of a collaborative and inclusive team that values your ideas and contributions, working on test processes for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) on the production floor and during product startups. This role focuses on enabling reliable test methodologies and supporting continuous improvement in testing operations.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the installation of production test equipment
  • Perform test equipment qualifications and characterization
  • Coordinate hardware and software updates as required
  • Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities
  • Assist in reviewing engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for testability
  • Assist in developing product-specific test programs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address corrective actions
  • Assist maintenance in developing preventative maintenance and calibration procedures
  • Analyze line return information to understand and drive corrective action on test process issues
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • 5+ years of electronics manufacturing experience
  • Lean Sigma Greenbelt
  • Familiarity with advanced technologies and applications
  • Travel up to 20% (day and overnight as required)
  • Safety-sensitive position considerations as applicable
Education

4-year degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering or related field with hardware experience (e.g., Physics, Computer Science).

Benefits and Other Details

Compensation Range: $81,154.00 to $114,731.00 USD. Benchmark provides a comprehensive benefits package including a bonus plan, 401(k), PTO, and health/dental/vision insurance, based on scheduled hours. This position is safety-sensitive and may involve pre-employment drug screening where permitted by law. Benchmark adheres to a drug- and alcohol-free workplace and conducts testing as required by law.
