Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Lead Test & Evaluation Engineer to support the United States Space Force in El Segundo, CA. This role focuses on test planning, requirements development, and execution for space and ground systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test engineering for large-scale space programs and Department of Defense Test & Evaluation processes. Location: El Segundo, CA Responsibilities:
- Document program test strategy, plans, scenarios, and requirements in contractual and Government documentation.
- Collaborate with development contractors to ensure test objectives align with applicable standards and policies.
- Work with Government developmental and operational test agencies to develop test methodologies consistent with program objectives.
- Lead and participate in test working groups to plan, status, and resolve test-related matters. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 14 years of experience in technical programs, systems engineering, and test policy/execution for space-based and ground-based systems.
- Experience with test planning, documentation development, and requirements definition.
- Familiarity with test engineering processes, tools, and Department of Defense Test & Evaluation standards.
- Active security clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to consent to polygraph examination. Preferred:
- ITEA Certified Test & Evaluation Professional (CTEP) or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional (CSEP). Compensation:
- Salary Range: $190,000 - $200,000 (based on experience).
