Stellar Solutions is seeking a Test SME with Assembly Integration & Test Experience to support a mission-focused ground systems portfolio delivering critical operational capability. This role brings deep test and evaluation expertise to complex software and space-related systems, helping teams prepare for key integration milestones and deliver with confidence. It is an opportunity to contribute where disciplined test planning, technical insight, and cross-functional coordination directly support high-priority defense outcomes.
Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications
This role supports test and evaluation strategy, planning, execution, and milestone readiness across complex ground and space-related systems. The Test SME will work closely with government stakeholders, FFRDCs, and technical teammates to help shape sound test approaches, support integration success, and provide actionable insight throughout the lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Support DoD test and evaluation activities across complex mission systems
  • Contribute to test and evaluation efforts for space systems and software systems
  • Help programs successfully enter and exit Assembly Integration and Test milestones
  • Develop test strategies, plans, reports, and briefings in a collaborative team environment
  • Participate in test execution, verification, and analysis activities
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, and partner teams
  • Work independently and collaboratively to complete complex tasks in support of program goals
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to support program execution and reporting
  • Provide disciplined test insight to support program readiness and decision-making
  • Contribute to mission success in a fast-paced DoD environment

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience supporting DoD test and evaluation activities
  • 7+ years of experience working test and evaluation on space systems
  • 5+ years of experience working test and evaluation on software systems
  • Experience working with programs to successfully enter and exit Assembly Integration and Test milestones
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment developing test strategies, plans, reports, and briefings, and participating in test execution, verification, or analysis
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, and partner teammates to achieve program goals
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical discipline

Desired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with a software program utilizing Agile methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience working with software factories and or DevSecOps pipelines
  • 2+ years of experience with military SATCOM systems
  • Experience with planning, executing, and reporting on Lead Developmental Test Organization or Operational Test Authority activities
  • Experience with Confluence or JIRA
  • ITEA Certified Test and Evaluation Professional certification or other test and evaluation professional certification
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree

Clearance & Additional Requirements
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is desired

Location
El Segundo, California - This position is full-time and supports a Government customer environment; Work style expectation is considered hybrid-local (2-4 days per week on site at LAAFB).
Compensation:
The typical salary range for this position is USD $145,000 - $185,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to salary).
Deliverable(s)
Deliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction.
