Position Summary Temporary Event Assistant Show Me Center Part-Time, Variable Shifts Position Available/Potential Start date: 8/21/26 Primary Responsibilities Assist in the planning and coordination of Show Me Center events Support the Director of Events with administrative tasks Provide communication and customer service at a consistently excellent level to event coordinators Management of event materials and equpiment Help with event layouts and drawings Assist the Marketing Director with developing event marketing materials Promote events across internal and external platforms Communication with vendors, sponsors and community partners On-site support during events, including addressing guest issues as they arise Recruitment, training and supervision of temp and student employees Operate technical equipment such as video, sound and lights Oversee meeting room events Maintain documentation for each event Attend community outreach events to promote upcoming Show Me Center events Required Qualifications Ability to maintain a flexible schedule; including weekends, evenings and early mornings Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service Knowledge of and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse range of people Strong organizational skills, time management and and high attention to detail Strong understanding of event marketing Leadership and team management skills Knowledge of video, audio and lighting equipment use Required Information & Deadline Application Deadline: The review of applications will begin immediately.
