Salary: $140,000-$196,000
Location: Culver City, CA (Onsite)
NOW CFO is conducting a private search on behalf of a growing organization in the healthcare/recovery services sector. We are seeking an experienced Controller for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is critical in overseeing accounting operations across multiple divisions, supporting financial reporting accuracy, and providing leadership within a dynamic accounting team.
What You'll Do
  • Manage accounting operations across multiple divisions, including AR, AP, and purchasing
  • Oversee monthly bank reconciliations and financial reports prepared by accounting staff
  • Supervise General Journal Entries to ensure accuracy and proper documentation
  • Lead contract and payor fiscal reviews and audits
  • Coordinate with leadership on billing for cost reports and services invoices
  • Partner with the consulting CPA on year-end and external CPA audits
  • Assist in the development of accounting policies and procedures
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff through demonstration, teaching, and consultation

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business preferred
  • 5-7 years of bookkeeping / accounting management experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or healthcare/recovery services industry
  • CPA designation

Compensation & Benefits
  • $140,000-$196,000 annually
