Title: Technical Operator (Temporary-to-Hire)
Employment Type: Temporary-to-Hire through Aerotek

Location: Phoenix, AZ

This position is being filled as a temporary-to-hire assignment through Aerotek. During the temporary assignment, you will be employed by Aerotek and assigned to perform services at LG Energy Solution. Aerotek is the employer of record and is responsible for wages, payroll, benefits (if applicable), and other terms and conditions of employment during the temporary assignment. Summary:

As a Technical Operator, you will operate assigned production equipment in accordance with established work instructions. While assigned to LG Energy Solution through Aerotek, you will support production goals by operating equipment and computerized systems used to produce, assemble, evaluate, process, and package lithium-ion batteries in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment and materials for production
  • Operate equipment in accordance with the OP Manual, in-putting materials, and monitoring defects/loss for continuous operation
  • Conduct self-inspection of the product and check the quality
  • Maintain accurate records of production work in GMES (Global Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Track all non-conformations and scraps
  • Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations
  • Perform 5s audits, maintain production logs, quality checks and maintenance work logs
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience:

  • 1 to 3+ years of manufacturing experience

Skills:

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Communication skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic arithmetic ability
  • Reading and writing skills
  • Ability to work well with individuals and teams to ensure the team meets & exceeds expectations

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours
    • Safety glasses
    • Steel-toed shoes
    • nitrile gloves
    • ear protection
    • clean room suit
  • Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours
    • Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
    • Stoop, twist, bend
    • Reach overhead
    • Sit and/or stand
    • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
