Job description

Our client is a national consulting and construction services organization with extensive experience in infrastructure and development projects. They are seeking a Director of Survey to lead their surveying division, drive business growth, and develop their team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic leadership capabilities, strong business development acumen, and a commitment to mentoring and growing high-performing teams.
Job Responsibilities -
- Establish strategic direction for the survey division, setting performance targets and driving departmental growth objectives
-Build and develop a high-performing survey team through mentoring, coaching, and professional development initiatives
- Drive business development efforts to expand client relationships, identify new revenue opportunities, and grow market share
- Manage key client accounts, serve as primary contact for major contracts, and oversee contract negotiations and relationship maintenance
- Oversee project delivery, resource allocation, and team assignments to ensure quality outcomes and client satisfaction
- Manage departmental budget, financial performance, and profitability metrics aligned with company growth targets
- Stay current with industry practices, technical advances, and surveying methodologies, champion excellence across the team
- Coordinate across departments to support integrated project delivery and foster a collaborative divisional culture
Job Requirements -
- 12+ years of experience in survey operations and project delivery with demonstrated success in leadership or management roles
- Deep knowledge of survey practices, engineering principles, and industry standards with ability to mentor others
- Proven track record of business development success, client relationship management, and revenue growth
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with experience developing and coaching professional staff
- Active professional license in surveying or engineering required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience building and scaling departments or teams preferred
- Advanced degree or executive leadership training preferred
