Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described. *Provides clerical and technology assistance to the Adult Basic Education Instructional Programming team *Builds course sections in the college's student information system for ABE programs *Prepares instructor contracts, contract changes, and monthly payroll for departments within the division *Processes and verifies all class paperwork, such as registration forms, enrollment reports, memos, and instructors' contracts, is complete for each section *Reviews and verifies for accuracy expenditure and travel requests; copies and files all monthly travel expenditures and routes them to appropriate personnel for payment *Prepares, evaluates, and submits end of class paperwork in accordance with Continuing Education Registrar's deadlines Works closely with the ABE Director to ensure regular and timely communication within the department Assists the ABE Instructional Programing team with scheduling meetings, training, and workshops Submits and verifies receipt of E-procurement orders and tracks and monitors instructional supply and book expenses for departments within the division Supports CCR IET team with registrations and student tracking Prepares all assigned paperwork and routes it to its intended recipient in a timely manner Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all paperwork Develops and maintains internal contact lists and administrative information for the department Performs file maintenance of all transfer credits granted Processes data entry of transcripts, course equivalencies and transfer credits as required Collaborates with other Technical Assistants within the Instructional Programming department to ensure paperwork consistency and communication within the division Attends division meetings and prepares agendas and meeting minutes, as assigned Assists other Technical Assistants with responsibilities, as needed Provides supplementary assistance with front office duties as needed Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Intermediate skills with MS Office products Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills and work well with others Ability to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently Demonstrates good organizational skills Ability to perform normal duties with minimal supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional customer relations skills Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Two years of related office experience and customer service experience Preferences: Associate degree in Office systems technology, business, computer information systems or related field As an equal employment opportunity employer, Wake Tech values our workforce.
