ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Sr. Technical Project Manager, the Assistant Technical Project Manager will support routine quality control activities to ensure the highest levels of technical and process excellence. Additionally, this role will provide cross-functional review support on key Juul Labs Chemistry related studies, analyses, and initiatives. This role will be on site in our Durham, North Carolina laboratory. The successful candidate will:

  • Assist Sr Project Manager across the entire project lifecycle, from initial intake and system set-up to formal project launch and release.
  • Monitor task completion rates within laboratory management software.
  • Manage laboratory sample inventory, documentation records, and data integrity in compliance with lab protocols, safety standards, and project timelines.
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with concurrent projects.
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to understand and implement processes from SOPs and work instructions.
  • Ability to review laboratory documentation against SOP requirements.
  • Ability to understand FDA guidelines and regulations, ISO 17025 standard.
  • Good proofreading, documenting, and editing skills (Microsoft Word/Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver assignments with high quality in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build strong relationships and positively motivate others.
  • Detail oriented, excellent organizational and management skills.
  • Able and willing to wear protective equipment such as gloves, lab coats and safety glasses while performing duties in the laboratory, as well as adhere to the laboratory dress code (no shorts, no open toed shoes, etc.).
EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in science, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or health related field required.
