JOB Description :
Quality Engineer
Location: Bohemia, New York (100% Onsite)
Duration: Contract
Experience Required: 3-5 Years (Aerospace Domain Only)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with aerospace industry experience to support manufacturing and quality operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of AS9100 and Quality Management Systems (QMS) and hands-on experience managing NCRs, CAPA, MRB activities, and root cause investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities and coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
  • Review and authorize returned materials from customers
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and compliance records
  • Collect and analyze quality data from production, inspection, suppliers, and customer feedback
  • Conduct Zero Defect Plans (ZDP)
  • Develop and maintain quality dashboards and reports
  • Utilize Advanced Excel and data analytics tools for reporting and trend analysis
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of aerospace industry experience (mandatory)
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience with NCR, CAPA, MRB processes
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Must be able to work onsite in Bohemia, NY

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in manufacturing or production quality within aerospace
  • Experience with customer returns and quality audits

Only candidates with aerospace experience will be considered.
