Job description

The Stores Platform Services Team is responsible for technical support across all POS (Point of Sale) technology used in our fleet. This position will aid in the support of our ever-evolving store systems to ensure functionality and uptime for 800+ stores globally, prioritizing Maintenance of Business, Project Delivery, and Holiday Readiness.


Responsibilities:

§ Daily monitoring and maintenance of ticket queues for store-related incidents escalated from Tier I, Engineering, Development and Networking teams.

o Primary technologies supported include store registers, payment devices, print devices, handhelds/tablets and basic networking

§ Support New Store openings with technical oversight of POS hardware installation and validations of hardware configurations and payment processing

§ Support Capital Projects with technical oversight of installation and validations as defined by project scopes.

§ Collaborate with Engineering and Development teams to track trending issues in technical environments with goals of proactively reducing downtime

§ Support register fleet running Linux OS, mobile fleet running Android OS, and Print environment settings and configurations.

§ Coordinate and work directly with domestic and global Vendors to provide consistent and timely services for stores.

§ Support all peak seasons of client's Fiscal Calendar (Spring/Easter, Back-to-School and Christmas Holiday)

§ Demonstrate qualities representative of client's values with a strong appreciation for customer service, time management, and a casual hospitality.


Qualifications:


§ 3+ years of experience in Point of Sale technical environment

§ 1+ years LINUX and Android OS experience

§ 1+ years Print Management experience

§ Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

§ Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

§ Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.


The role also includes monitoring network performance, maintaining logs, and providing technical support for voice services and equipment. Additionally, the administrator diagnoses hardware and software problems and replaces defective components as needed.
