Job description


The Student Services Advisor plays a key role in supporting student success and enhancing the overall student experience at Istituto Marangoni Miami. This position provides direct assistance and guidance to students across various aspects of campus life, including student housing, career services processes, and general student support.
The ideal candidate is approachable, student-centered, and committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters personal growth, engagement, and success throughout the student journey.
Reports to: Director of Student Affairs and Career Services
Requirements
  • Serve as aresource to help students navigate institutional services, policies, andresources available on campus.
  • Identify andaddress student concerns, providing appropriate solutions or connectingthem with other departments as needed.
  • Maintainaccurate student records and ensure compliance with institutionalstandards and privacy policies.
  • Facilitatestudent support sessions focused on personal development, adjustment touniversity life, and overall well-being.
  • Support thedaily operations of student housing, ensuring clear and timelycommunication with students.
  • Contribute tostudent orientations, engagement initiatives, commencement ceremonies, andevents that promote a sense of belonging and connection to the campuscommunity.
  • Providepersonalized assistance to students regarding housing information,check-in/check-out procedures, and residential life inquiries.
  • Assist withplacement procedures and career services activities, including supportingadvisory sessions, workshops, and career development events.
  • Collaboratewith faculty and staff to ensure a holistic and consistent studentexperience.
  • Perform otherrelated duties as assigned to support the Student Affairs Department.

Education / Experience
  • Bachelor'sdegree in a related field (required)
  • Proficiency inEnglish and Spanish (required)
  • Experience in highereducation, student services or similar roles (preferred)
  • Familiaritywith student information systems and administrative tools (preferred)
