As a student services coordinator, your main job duty is to support students in your school. You work with them to provide administrative and social support, including setting up housing, planning community enrichment events, and helping those that are struggling academically. This career is similar to that of a student counselor. Positions are available in schools of all levels of education, including elementary school, high school, and college. The educational qualifications vary depending on where you choose to work. For example, a high school diploma in combination with relevant coursework or a bachelor’s degree is sufficient to work at a university, but a master’s degree is more common for those working in elementary or secondary schools. Additional requirements include a compassionate personality, excellent communication skills, and social work experience.
