General Purpose of a Staffing Assistant:

The branch is the fundamental business unit of Elwood Staffing and the Staffing Assistant is a primary role in greeting, scheduling, responding to inquiries, and processing of applicants and working associates. The Staffing Assistant is responsible for supporting the strategic objectives, branch operations, customer service activities, and business development activities. All employees consistently support and promote the company mission, five key beliefs, philosophies, and provide Superior Customer Service in all aspects of the job.

Essential Functions of a Staffing Assistant:

If you have held positions similar to Restaurant Server, Administrative Assistant, Call center, Bank Teller or Customer Service Representative then you already have experience with the following:

  • Bilingual: fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Execute service operations activities to support 100% on-time order fulfillment.
  • Greet visitors, determine the nature of the business, and direct visitors to appropriate staff members.
  • Answer incoming phone calls; effectively determine the nature and urgency of the call and take appropriate action.
  • Distribute and manage incoming mail.
  • Coordinate and manage the flow of applicant traffic throughout the intake and interview process.
  • Manage the new hire process ensuring all new hire documents are completed appropriately.
  • Administer pre-employment tests and enter results according to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure service operations activities comply with company policies and applicable government regulations.

Desired Skills & Experience - Staffing Assistant:

  • Experience in a customer service role preferred.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
