Job description

Summary:

Educational Sponsorship Program:
Altru encourages and supports the continuing growth and development of its
current and future employees by offering educational financial assistance. The
educational sponsorship incentive program is intended to cover all or a portion
of the per semester cost of tuition, program and management fees while
pursuing a degree required for a qualified future role at Altru.
Program Eligibility:
Must maintain full time enrollment at an accredited regional academic partner and complete program within expected academic guidelines, i.e., associates, 2 years, bachelor's, 4 years
Recipients must provide proof of on-going full-time enrollment within
degree program, i.e., transcript and must maintain at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA to continue to qualify for the educational sponsorship.
For programs which clinical rotations are required, student will be expected to complete clinical rotation at Altru
Current employees must maintain at least casual employment status while
enrolled and pursuing a qualified degree
If a current employee, must be in good standing at the time of
application
Employment Commitment:
Employee recipients/student recipients receiving organizational funds through
the educational sponsorship program are required upon completion of degree,
to commit to remaining a full-time employee of Altru based on the following:
Education related expenses up to $25,000: two (2) year employment
commitment
Education related expenses exceeding $25,000: three (3) year
employment commitment
This sponsorship can be used in conjunction with other financial aid. Those
employees/students currently enrolled in an accredited academic program are
eligible to apply for an education sponsorship for the remainder of the academic degree program, however, tuition and fees paid prior to acceptance
into the sponsorship program are not eligible for retroactive payment of past
tuition and related expenses.
How to Apply for Educational Sponsorship:
Interested employees/candidates can apply through this posting and proceed through the recruitment selection process. It is necessary to begin this process early as the completed application must be received by Human Resources at least 30 calendar days prior to commencement of educational program. Selected employee/candidate must agree to and sign Educational Sponsorship Agreement.

The Ultrasound Technologist assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam performance and collects pertinent information. This position reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness, and completes paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation. The Ultrasound Technologist efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room and demonstrates regard for patient's safety and comfort.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs general or vascular ultrasound exams.

  • Assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information prior to the ultrasound procedure.

  • Reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness. Completes proper paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation.

  • Efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room, including cleaning and stocking their room, cleaning the machine and filter, and deleting exams off the machine daily.

  • Demonstrates regard for patients' safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization and positioning of patient.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

  • Sonographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date | HR Primary Sources

  • Sonographer | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Within 24 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Within 24 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 days of Start Date | Learning Management System

Notes:
  • Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
