Job Summary

Rigaku Analytical Devices, a Division of Rigaku Americas Holding, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in SaaS platforms and API integrations to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that connect Rigaku products, customer applications, and third‑party services. The ideal candidate has strong experience building cloud‑based applications, integrating enterprise software platforms, and developing robust APIs that enable seamless data exchange across business systems. This role requires a combination of software engineering expertise, systems integration knowledge, and a strong understanding of modern SaaS architecture.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud‑native applications and services.
  • Build scalable backend services and APIs using modern development frameworks.
  • Develop reusable components and integration services that support business operations and customer‑facing applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Work with internal customers to develop application requirements.
  • Understand and follow existing software architecture and coding guidelines.
  • Design and develop complex applications using object‑oriented design.
  • Understand and follow validation methods including authoring all necessary documents.
  • Understand the product development lifecycle and the impact on building production quality source code.

API & Systems Integration
  • Design and implement integrations between SaaS platforms, ERP systems, CRM systems, customer portals, and internal applications.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, and event‑driven integrations.
  • Work with third‑party APIs and SDKs to enable data synchronization and business process automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and data consistency challenges.
  • Create monitoring and alerting solutions for system health and reliability.
Cloud & DevOps
  • Deploy and manage applications within cloud environments such as: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and API key management.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field of study.
  • 5‑7 years of experience with C/C++ language programming.
  • 3‑5 years of development using Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiar with git or other software source control packages and software development and collaboration tools, preferably Atlassian.
  • Prior working experience with Data Acquisition Systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have experience in GUI design and Human Factors Engineering for Analytical Instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully complete complex R&D technology projects.
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs.
  • Experience integrating SaaS platforms and enterprise systems.
  • A highly motivated fast learner who can work independently with minimal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or enterprise software integrations.
  • Experience with platforms such as: Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics365, HubSpot, NetSuite, SAP ServiceNow.
  • Experience with integration platforms such as: MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Integration Services, Workato, Zapier.
  • Enterprise Knowledge of message queues and event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, AWSSQS, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with observability tools, logging platforms, and performance monitoring.
Education Requirements

BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field of study.
