Shop Manager

Job Summary:

The Shop Manager will oversee the shop, yard, and coordinate the storage and distribution of materials or products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily work of any shop employees.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages inventory within the shop. Responsible for keeping the shop clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Responds to project team needs and assists with the transportation of equipment to and from job sites.
  • Repair / coordinate the repair of equipment as needed to minimize project down time.
  • Oversee fabrication support for field projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Ability to repair minor mechanical components, equipment, and a general handy-man
  • capability.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and self-managed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Drivers License and ability to pull trailers, haul / transport equipment of various sizes
  • Forklift operator license
  • 2-3 years of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to traverse construction sites and warehouse.
