What You'll Do as Our Cabinet Shop Foreman

  • Lead the daily operations of our custom cabinet shop, providing direction and support to a team of four cabinet builders
  • Coordinate production schedules and workflow to keep projects moving efficiently while meeting delivery deadlines
  • Maintain our high standards for craftsmanship by monitoring quality throughout every stage of the manufacturing process
  • Train and mentor shop employees, helping them grow their skills while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Assist with machinery operation, setup, and troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly
  • Monitor inventory levels, supplies, and production times to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate closely with ownership to ensure every project meets customer expectations, design specifications, and Sweet Water Woodworks' standards for excellence
  • Promote a safe, organized, and professional shop environment where quality work and respect for one another remain top priorities


Our Ideal Cabinet Shop Foreman

  • Experienced Leader: Brings 7+ years of woodworking, cabinetry, or millwork experience, along with at least 5 years of leading or supervising a production team
  • Skilled Craftsman: Confidently reads shop drawings, understands tape measurements and micromeasurements, and has a strong working knowledge of woodworking machinery and shop operations
  • Basic Computer Proficiency: Possesses basic computer skills to support production tracking, communication, and day-to-day shop operations
